We are looking for a talented designer to help visually present us to the world as the design firm pioneering the seamless integration of the digital and physical worlds. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the marketing & communications design industry with a good handle on digital platforms and social media. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated designer interested in significantly accelerating their career by having quick impact helping a global design leader to achieve their vision.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; reporting directly to the G&A Marketing Director, designing and constant upkeep of company marketing materials for print, web, and mobile apps, designing and distributing email marketing campaigns that are creative and original to reflect both the company and their clients, creating new graphic standards for communication and marketing materials in print and electronic media, will collaborate with a diverse set of team members beyond the Marketing team, including firm Principals, Creative and Studio Directors, Exhibit and Graphic Designers, and Digital Interactive Designers, assisting with designing and updating company website and social media platforms, designing creative pieces that step outside the company's standard template but coincide well with the exhibit design industry, following a system of design essential to the consistent overall brand of the company, working with both the design and marketing teams to produce marketing and educational materials for the field of museum and exhibition design, designing keynote presentations and animated graphics for design deliverables, and preparing Final Digital Artwork for final output for any graphics and be willing to learn
and grow in this area.
The candidate we are looking for; has an Undergraduate degree in graphics and/or digital media communications, 2-5 years of graphic design and/or interactive design experience, preferably in web platforms, a strong portfolio, including visual design and digital campaigns, excellent verbal and written communications skills, a passion for and strong knowledge of design for social media and web platforms, a strong typography, color skills and an eye for fine details, must be able to complete projects with aggressive timelines and work well under pressure, an ability to work on many tasks and projects simultaneously to meet deadlines, concerned about the details of a project as much as the overall design, the ability to take design direction well with a positive attitude and a hunger for learning and growth, the ability to communicate their design ideas/decisions to both designers
and non-designers, and has the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively.
Software Skills include:
Design (required): Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Video editing/animation experience a big plus (After Effects, Premiere).
Technical (required): Basic front-end development knowledge (CSS/HTML5), CMS, WordPress (or other database platforms).
Marketing (can be learned): Constant Contact, MailChimp, LiveType, DVD Studio Pro, Keynote and PowerPoint and basic knowledge of Google Enterprise online software, Google Analytics
